瑞典Lund大学和美国Indiana大学博士后,分别师从瑞典皇家科学院院士 Lars Olof Bjorn 教授和美国科学院院士、美国科学和艺术学院院士、英国皇家学会院士、加拿大皇家科学院院士、挪威科学院院士Loren Rieseberg 教授。英国Glasgow大学、加拿大British Columbia大学和北京大学访问学者。
科研成果
主要从事蕨类植物、裸子植物和入侵植物的种群遗传结构、分子系统发育地理、进化叶绿体基因组学和适应性种群基因组学的研究。以第一作者或通讯作者发表科研论文190余篇,参编专著3本。研究结果发表在Advanced Science、International Journal of Biological Macromolecules、Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society、Plant Molecular Biology、Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution、Genome Biology and Evolution、BMC Plant Biology、BMC Evolutionary Biology、Biology Direct、Scientific Reports、Frontiers in Plant Science、American Journal of Botany及Journal of Heredity等国际重要学术刊物上。申请专利5项,其中3项被授权。指导研究生逾40人,其中三人获国家奖学金。
以第一获奖人,分获广州市(2008)和广东省(2009)科学技术三等奖。获湖北省自然科学优秀学术论文三等奖(2006)和一等奖(2014)。获Journal of Systematics and Evolution的Outstanding Paper Award(2015)。

讲授课程
现负责校级一流课程《生化分离分析技术与原理》及全校核心通识课程《现代生物技术:用基因重塑世界》。为广东省科产教融合实践教学基地“中山大学-星湖生物科技集团生物技术实习教学示范基地”负责人。主持16项教学改革项目,发表教改论文12篇。指导学生获广东大学生生物化学实验技能大赛一等奖(2017)、二等奖(2011)和三等奖(2016)。指导学生获中山大学实验室开放项目(2010、2011、2012、2016)、科技创新项目(2016、2018、2019)、创业训练和创业实践项目(2017)的资助。指导学生以第一作者发表SCI论文11篇(2018、2019、2020)。
以独立获奖人,获中山大学第八届教学成果二等奖(2017)。获全国生命科学微课大赛二等奖(2018、2019)。
